Midtown

Midtown contains some of the city’s oldest residential neighborhoods. Tree-lined avenues and landscaped medians are bordered by stately homes, bungalows, and apartments. You will also find a variety of architectural styles. The lots tend to be shaded with old majestic trees. Many of the older homes have carriage houses which have been converted to pool or guest houses.

Midtown offers diverse leisure activities including dining and entertainment at Overton Square and the Historic Cooper-Young area. Overton Park, the Memphis Zoo, and Brooks Museum of Art are also frequently visited by tourists and locals.

 Higher Education establishments are plentiful as well including: Memphis College of Art, The University of Memphis, Rhodes College, Christian Brothers University, and Crichton College.
